Welcome to Tiritea Pony Club (TPC)

Location: Tiritea Pony Club is located in Linton down Hewitts Road. We are 5 minutes south of Palmerston North and the closest branch to Massey University and near Linton Camp.

We have lovely sheltered free draining grounds which enables us to ride all year round, although we generally have a break for a few months over winter. All members are welcome to bring their horses or ponies to the grounds at any time and use any jumps or equipment.

New jumps include cross country training jumps, and there is also a water jump, logs and a drop jump. There a plenty of showjumps and fillers including a liverpool, pickets etc. Our dressage arena is up all year round, and there are plenty of items to play games with.

Rallies: Rallies are held every second Saturday. Sometimes we also have week night rally during daylight saving and / or school holidays.  We start in August and go through to May each season.

Rallies always start with a safety and turn out inspection and health and safety briefing. Inspection starts at 10am if it's a weekend rally. Riders get points based on how well their mount is groomed, how clean their gear is and how tidy their uniform is. There are trophies at the end of the year awarded to those with the most points.

We try to cover as many aspects of riding and horsemanship a possible during the season. This includes: Show Jumping, Dressage, Showing, Games, Treks, Xcountry, Fun days, Show Hunter, Theory and much more.

We like to keep our theory fun and interesting and often bring in a guest speaker or have demonstrations. Theory is an important part of Pony Club and helps riders gain certificates (check out the certificates tab for more info).

In terms of instruction, we have coaches at every rally. We like to get coaches that specialise in what our riders are interested in.  Riders are encouraged to give feedback to our rally organisers  so we can cater to everyones instruction wants and needs.

CAMP - each season we go away for a wonderful weekend camp with our horses and ponies.  Parents can ride also and we always have a really good time.
