Award winning Primo extend support to Central Roofing Taranaki Whio

Locally owned and operated broadband service provider Primo have extended their support of Taranaki Rugby to include the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls and the Central Roofing Taranaki Whio for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Primo will remain a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls First XV Partner, with their brand displayed on the upper back of the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls #3 jersey. The Primo brand will also appear on the upper back of all Central Roofing Taranaki Whio playing jerseys for their Farah Palmer Cup season.

“Last season was a real blast with the Bulls going unbeaten,” says Primo’s Top Dog Matthew Harrison. “It might not have all been due to having Primo on the Number 3 jersey, but we reckon it can’t have hurt!

“We’re also right behind the growth in women’s rugby in Taranaki and we can’t wait to see them have a spectacular season.

“From what I’ve heard the Whio squad have been doing big, hard yards in their training and will be a really strong presence in the game.”

The Central Roofing Taranaki Whio season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday July 23 with a home match against North Harbour on Saturday July 23.

Primo were established in 2006 to provide wireless broadband services to remote Taranaki communities who struggled to get access to fast broadband services. They now provide services to thousands of corporate and rural customers across Taranaki.

Last year Primo received the Supreme Business Excellence Award at the 2021 TSB Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. The team also won three categories on the night in the Business Continuity, Technology and best Medium Business categories.

Primo is based on Molesworth Street in New Plymouth and has grown to now employ a team of 26 fantastic local staff who know our region like the back of their hand.

Primo is all about supporting the grassroots and has a special deal to help players and fans support their favourite Taranaki club.

It’s a 50/50 offer – any new customer signing up for Primo broadband can nominate a Taranaki rugby club and Primo will donate $50 cash to the club and put a $50 credit on the customer’s account.

Matthew says rugby is vital for binding Taranaki together, this is a chance to really help out at club level.”

“Rugby clubs are important to their communities. They’re the social hub and the nerve centre of lots of community’s right around the region. If they’re strong, the community is all the better for it.

“We’re a local internet company that has our own grass roots links all around Taranaki, so it’s our way of backing those clubs who are so important to their communities.”
