TRIATHLON / DUATHLON 2026

Nau mai, Haere mai and welcome to another year of Triathlon in 2026. We look forward to another season of learning, challenge, and growth through Triathlon and Duathlon. As we begin the year, there are some new and evolving aspects of the programme still being finalised. This page will be updated as details are confirmed.

Triathlon and Duathlon at Cashmere High School are offered throughout the year, providing students with opportunities to develop hauora — physical, mental, and social wellbeing — through sport. Canterbury Triathlon runs two to three events that align with the Secondary Schools calendar, with further opportunities available at South Island and Junior New Zealand level for those who wish to progress.

We are fortunate to have the support of Chris Clarke, originally from the UK and now working with Triathlon New Zealand (Tri-NZ). Chris will be working alongside students this year, supporting their development through personalised training sessions, both this term and beyond.

Event registrations and fees are completed online by students directly with the event organisers. Please note that a small additional charge may apply for transport and supervision for events held during school hours.

We welcome students of all abilities to take part and be part of a supportive kaupapa that values commitment, respect, and collective effort.
