Term 1

Bishop Viard College holds a House School Athletics Competition in mid February. This allows the convenor to select individual students to compete in the Western Zone Athletics Championships. From these results students can continue on to Wellington Region Secondary Schools Athletics Championships, the North Island Secondary Schools Championships and the National Secondary Schools Championships. 

Bishop Viard College also competes in the Viard Shield Athletics Championships with the following schools: Chanel College, Cullinane College, Hato Paora College, and St Peters College.

Training

Most of the training will be done during PE classes. There will be additional training opportunities after school. Students involved will be informed.

Uniform

For any outside of school event the College will provide a black singlet which remains the property of the College. Players are to provide their own black shorts. 

Registration Fees: $20 per athlete attending representative meets.

Sports Fees

Some students play more than one sport so we highly recommend that you set up a direct credit to your childs school account for their sports fees. Thank you to those who have already set this up. This gives you the ability to pay off their sports fees throughout the school year.

Please do not hesitate to email the Sports Coordinator if you need any assistance or if this cost would stop your son/daughter from participating.
