Welcome to Waihora Rugby Football Club! Established in 1913 at Rhodes Park, Tai Tapu, our country club is a place where families and players come together to celebrate community and sportsmanship. We are proud to announce that in 2019, we were awarded the ORIX NZ 2019 Canterbury Sports Awards Outstanding Sports Club of the Year, recognizing our commitment to excellence, family-friendliness, and exceptional organization.

At Waihora RFC, we believe that our strength lies in our people. In 2022, we welcomed over 300 players from across Ellesmere and Banks Peninsula, ranging from Under 6 to Division One. Our aim is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone, where players can develop their skills, build friendships, and have fun.
