Waimate Cycling Club
First race for the season is due to start 29th September, 2025.
The season starts on Monday 29th September with a 6.30pm 15km Graded Scratch race.
Please be at the start at 6pm so you can complete the required paperwork and we can still start on time.
You need to:
Be 11 years or older.
If you are new, demonstrate you can complete the first lap in under 18 minutes to be able to race.
Fill in and sign an indemnity form (to be completed by parent/guardian if under 18)
For visibility, plan to wear bright coloured cycling clothing.
Show evidence of your CNZ licence by your 4th race.*
Attend the briefing each week or you cannot race.

ENTRY FEES OPTIONS:
Bring $2 cash for each race, plus pay $5 for subs (one off)
OR
pay $40 to cover all Monday Night races in the season (club sub included). (Soes not include Leggie race entry)
LICENCE:
*Every rider must have a current Cycling New Zealand licence by their fourth race. Go to https://www.cyclingnewzealand.nz/clubs-and-membership/becoming-a-member-2/ to see the different options. ($22.50 for club racing)
Races start at 6:30pm for the first month due to darkness. Be there by 6pm. You can register online - please report to handicapper on arrival by 6pm, or register in person (registrations close at 6pm). Race briefing for ALL to attend is 6:15pm.
Around November races start at 7:00pm, report to handicapper by 6:30pm (6:45pm race briefing)
