The event is being hosted by the Wainuiomata Harrier Club in conjunction with Athletics Wellington. The Championships will take place on the hills between Wainuiomata and Lower Hutt City up above the Wainuiomata Hill Road. This year the race is on a new course and starts from a different location. This years course is wide open and a true mountain run challenge, the site of a previous New Zealand Mountain Run Champs. See the Course Map for details. Race headquarters will still be at the Wainuiomata High School Gymnasium. There are races for junior girls and boys this year.
