Please find attached a further press release from the LVVTA with further clarification of what the ‘excluded vehicle groups’ are within the context of the new ‘Clean Car Standard’ and what impact the new legislation may have on importing a vehicle or a new registration of a vehicle.

The ‘excluded vehicle’ groups (will be exempt from paying any charge).

While we would rather have seen a 30-year timeframe adopted rather than the 40-year timeframe that’s been settled on,  it’s a good outcome for most of our members, and there is always the possibility of shifting it at a later date.
