WAIROA ATHLETIC RFC 2018


Athletic has  teams in the Wairoa JAB competition,a Primary team coached by (Stephen Huata and Nic Tizard.)
2 Junior teams Athletic Black coached by (Cyril Brownlie and Mark Munro ) and Athletic White coached by( Stephen Huata and Scott Cavaney).
And 2 midget ripper teams Athletic White  coached by (Quinn Broad and Damen Taukamo-Huata and Athletic Black coached by No Coach as yet..

Athletic players come from a number of surrounding areas and schools including Frasertown,Ohuka,Ruakuturi,Mangapoike,Putere ,Marumaru,Mohaka,Tiniroto,Tiaho,Wairoa Primary and St Joseph.

What a great season we had last year but now the 2015 season is coming up we need those rugby boots all cleaned up and to get your rugby ball out, tell your little brothers or sisters to come and join our midget team and to all you juniors and primary graders our teams  are looking good for this season.

Wairoa Athletic JAB rugby players train on a wednesday and Thursday afternoon at Athletic Clubrooms or the community centre if it is wet between the hours of 4.00pm and 5.15pm midgets,juniors and primary grades, the coaches are dedicated and keen,the players are expected to be their best on and off the field and to turn up to trainings, listen and to train hard and to remember what they have been taught in trainings and put their best efforts into a game on Saturday  As we train we have some keen dads that get involved,its good to see that the parents are keen for their children to play rugby and support rugby in Wairoa.
