Kia ora e te Waitakere Whanau,

I hope this communication finds you and your whanau well.

As you may be aware we have moved in the orange traffic light setting which means limits on gatherings are removed just in time for easter celebrations, school holidays and most importantly our junior rugby season kicking off on Saturday the 7th of May.

Teams

Jonny (our Junior Delegate) and I have been working hard to get all our teams confirmed and ready for the upcoming season. As our registration campaign started a bit later than usual due to covid, we are a bit behind with team confirmations. 

If you have yet to be contacted about training - don't worry we haven't forgotten about you and will be in contact over the next week.

Junior rugby coaches needed

We have a couple of teams that are in need of a coach and/or manager. No experience is necessary, training and support will be provided. If you know of someone who can volunteer a small amount of time each week to help out our kids, we want to hear from you!

Club uniform

We are taking preorders of shorts as our supplier is out of stock of most of the junior sizes. If you would like to preorder a pair please send your child's details and size to jnr.coordinator@waitakererugby.co.nz before the 26^th of April.

Junior rugby registration day

We had our Junior rugby registration day on Saturday the 2nd of April. It was awesome to see all the "old" and new faces back in the club. 

We had some of our Premier players set up a sack race, tug of war, and the passing net out on the field before their preseason game which looked like a lot of fun. 

A massive thank you to our junior committee (Lisa, Shaun, Jonny, McKenzie and Neil), Tu and the Premier boys who put in the hard Mahi to really make the day.
