NOTICES - Wakefield Bowling Club

Our first Winter Open Triples tournament is on Sunday 24th July. Sorry we are fully subscribed!

Keep your fellow bowlers safe! Stay at home if you are feeling unwell.

Our popular winter mini-tournaments are on again on Wednesdays (weather permitting). Cost is $5 per person with 2 games of 1.25 hours and afternoon tea. Prizes will be awarded for first and second placings. Games will be drawn pairs and/or triples depending upon the numbers. Open to all so come and join us!

Congratulations to the team of Neville Scott, Di Potts and Kristine Greaney as winners of the Division 1 section of the Wendy Pearson (Tall Poppy) Queen' s Birthday tournament. Congratulations also to the winners of the Division 2 section of the tournament - Kevin Galvin, Mark Connor and Alan Robertson. Thanks to all who made the two day tournament another very succesful event!

Congratulations to the Wakefield Women (Marg, Julie, Wendy and Carolyn) on winning the Bowls Nelson Champion of Champion Women's Fours. They will be competing at Hastings on 24th July against other NZ regional Champion of champion winners - we wish them well!

CHARITIES FUNDING: The Wakefield Bowling Club is grateful for the support of the following Charities: Rata Foundation, Nelson Tasman Charitable Trust, Pub Charity Ltd and Mainland Foundation. Recent funding from these Charities have enabled upgrades of the Clubroom floor coverings, Club Uniforms and the Rink Markers for the Greens.


CANCELLATIONS or green changes for Interclub, Presidents and Bowls Nelson Centre Events are advised on the Bowls Nelson website by 7.00 am in respect of those travelling to Pohara and by 8.00 am for all other greens Click Here


If you have any old metal items Including electrical goods that you would like to get rid of then please get in touch with Trevor Woodbury 541 8855. Car batteries also will be accepted. Thanks Trevor for a fantastic effort on behalf of the Club!
