Hockey

Welcome to Wellington College Hockey.

The goal of this club is to foster hockey as a successful and vibrant College sport, to assist the players to develop their hockey skills, and to keep all players and parents/caregivers informed of key dates and events as the season progresses.

Wellington College has a strong hockey tradition with considerable success in the local competitions, where we usually field 5 or 6 teams, and a large number of our boys representing Wellington in representative teams.

2024 saw another successful season for the Wellington College Hockey Club.  We made final play offs, and with a strong performance, the U15 team was able to bring the Miskimmin Cup back to the club.

The 1st XI attend Rankin Cup/India Shield (25-30 August 2025 in Auckland) during winter tournament week, while the 2nd XI attend the Galletly Cup tournament (25-29 August 2025 in Oamaru). We also select an U15 fixture team to contest the local Miskimmin Cup (11 August in Wellington), and compete in the Traditionals against Palmerston North Boys' High School and New Plymouth Boys High School.
