The 1st XV plays in the CSW Premier 1 competition with the aim of moving into the nation top 16. The 2nd XV plays in the CSW Premier 2 competition with the aim of playing at least semi final rugby. The 2nd XV will play against mostly 1st XV schools and two other 2nd XV schools, making the Premier 2 competition a challenging grade.
Pre season offically begins after the McEvedy Shield athletics competition concludes. Skills and fitness will be available before this, however not complusory.
Pre season matches will used as trials. Trial atches against OBU Colts, Fielding High School, Palmerston North Boys High School and New Plymouth Boys High School are used to help select these two teams.
There will be additional costs of trailling and being selected in these teams which cover clothing, travel and food costs.
