Underwater Hockey

Welcome to Wellington College Underwater Hockey

Underwater Hockey has a proud and inspiring tradition at Wellington College. For parents, it can be somewhat frustrating to follow, not being the most spectator friendly sport! Despite this, we have a tight knit community and players share a passion for the sport.

Wellington College excels in underwater hockey on a national scale and has been recognised within the school in the annual sporting awards.

2024 saw the Senior A Team win both local and Central Regional Competitions and 2nd at the NZSS Champs. Cam Jones was named CSW Underwater Hockey Player of the Year.

Cam Jones, Dom Heitger and Hamish Wright were selected for the NZ U 19 Team, who won the World U19 Champs Title.
