WESTERN UNITED BY AGE GROUP AND INTERESTS

Fun Ferns (Years 1-3)
Boys & girls in Years 1-3 play in the Fun Fern grade.  Coaches are enthusiastically supported by the club and we aim to provide a positive introduction to netball to ensure continued enjoyment of, and participation in, the game. 

Future Ferns (Years 4, 5&6)
Boys & girls in Years 4, 5&6 play in the Future Fern grade. By this age group kids are playing in positions that they enjoy and that increase self-esteem and confidence. Coaches of our future ferns enjoy being able to dedicate time to skill development and promoting healthy participation in netball.

Years 7&8
Boys & girls in Years 7&8 play in this competition.  Our committed and enthusiastic coaches foster skill development, promote enjoyment for the game and encourage players to explore their passion for netball. Players prepare for the college league from this intermediate level.

Open College
Girls in Years 9-13 play for our club in the Open College grade. Many opt to play for their school in the morning and play for the club in the afternoon. Players are trialed and selected into teams based on ability. WUNC is fortunate to have fantastic and committed coaches available at this level and our Open College teams enjoyed much success in recent years.

Colts / Senior Grades
Women who have left College can continue their netball by playing in either the Under 25 'Colts'  level which is more competitive, or the social 'Senior Grades'.
