Online Registration 

Online registration for the 2023/2024 season is now open to all returning and new players. See 2023/2024 Subscription Rates and Banking Details for more info.

Baseball NZ is now following Little League age grades and divisions which gives individual players the opportunity to play across several grades during the same season. CBA intents to host some of these grades (depending on player numbers) for the 2023/24 season. For registration purposes, we ask that you register for one of the following teams:

  • Kiwiball: 5 - 9 years
  • 12U (Major League, birthday between 31/8/14 - 1/9/11)
  • 16U (Senior League, birthday between 31/8/11 - 1/9/07)
  • Premier (Players must be 16yo+ or dispensated up)

To register, just complete the form on this website. It is a quick and convenient way to register, and for returning players should pre-populate your data!

A draft schedule of game days for the various grades will be posted on the CBA website and Facebook page as the season gets closer. Training days will be announced by the coaches.

So what happens next after I have registered and paid?

Teams will be formed in September and you will be contacted by a team coach or a team manager shortly after that.

Team coach/manager will set a date for the first official training after that date, which will include a meet and greet with parents/players to outline expectations for the upcoming season.

Prior to this, there may be open trainings for grades, which will be posted on the Christchurch Astros website calendar or Facebook.

Uniforms will be handed out during a dedicated team training day during first week of October.

The Nelson Heat are hosting a pre-season tournament on Labour Weekend October 2023 for Major (12u), Intermediate (13u), Senior (16u) , and Premier Grades.  

CBA 2023-2024 competition starts 29 October 2023.

There will be no official CBA games on Show Weekend.
