Many thanks to all of our Business House bowlers – we hope you’ve all had a great time! We really have enjoyed it, and it’s been great seeing a number of the “old hands” back and getting to know a large number of new teams.

A special thanks also to our wonderful sponsors who have been instrumental in making the event such a success and we encourage you all to support them.

We will keep in touch and our aim is to have a mini-event and bbq in October/November one Sunday afternoon, or after work one evening. This will be a good opportunity to get together again for a practice and a catch-up, before next year’s competition.

Now that you’ve had a taste of bowls, and the social side of our club, you may be thinking about joining us as a member, at some point in the future. New members are always welcome!! Here’s a summary of our membership:

  • Social Membership: If you just want to support the club in a social way and use our facilities and participate in social events without bowling, this is for you. It costs $25.00 for the year.
  • Casual Membership: If you’re not sure you want to play in competitions but are keen on social roll-up bowls, then maybe a social membership is for you. It gives almost all the same benefits of Full Membership but at a reduced cost. Casual membership is $125.00 per year.
  • Full Membership: If you are looking for the challenge of playing competition bowls and take part in club championships, then Full Membership is for you. It costs $210.00 a year although if you’re a beginner it’s reduced to $125.00 in your first year.

As a member, whether full, casual or social, you can bring a few friends down to socialise, have a game of bowls and enjoy the fun and friendship that is at the heart of the club. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or wish to join us as a member.

In conclusion, I want to thank all of the club volunteers in helping to make the Business House a successful event. But I especially want to thank you all for your participation – the fun, friendship and camaraderie has been very special, and we are already planning for next year!!

We will keep in touch.

Cheers
