Kia ora! Welcome!

The Karori West Normal School netball club is run by parent volunteers.

We have grown since 2008 and are very proud of our netball players.

Each year we participate in the Fun Ferns programme for Year 1 & 2 students. This program runs over two weekends in August. Our Year 3 - 8 teams play on Saturdays during school terms 2 & 3. Grading games for years 5 - 8 are on the 4th and 11th of May.

The 2024 season starts 18th May. All games in 2024 will be played at the Cardinal McKeefry School netball courts.

At the end of each season we try and acknowledge our players, coaches and managers during and end of year event. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​We are urgently in need of more parent support to make this a successful season. Our KWNS Netball Committee has two roles that need to be filled:

Western Zone Committee Rep/s 

- Attending 2 x annual committee meetings (one meeting has now been held).

- Coordinating and overseeing KWNS committee roles.

- Communicating key season information to KWNS netball committee and school. 

- Being the liaison between the KWNS netball committee and the school.

Umpire Coordinator

 - Organising 2x umpires for the winter season (we have some contacts!).

- ​Ensuring they are aware of the games they will umpire each week. 

- ​Find a replacement umpire when needed (this can be done via WWN committee).

Both these roles are highly supported by the KWNS and Western Zone netball committees.
