For her dedication and knowledge of both the netball club and the wider club. She gives up her own time and energy to support both clubs and is always available to lead a helping hand. She helps organise and participants in events that help players, teams and other clubs join together and get to know what it is to be a pirate. She is always looking for ways to improve relationships between the two clubs and working closely together in the best interests of both groups. She has instigated many developments within the netball club including life members, service badges and recognition for players and committee members.  Marina always has the interest of both clubs at heart and is someone that people respect and admire and we are all proud to call a Pirate.

Brownie Cup - Pirates Netball Committee Member of the Year

Awarded to Yvette MacDonald

For the many hours of her own time chasing up quotes, sending out minutes and generally organising the committee members to keep us on task. She is always willing to support other committee members in order to ensure they are able to get their tasks completed. She regularly attends all meetings, is always organised and is great and keeping the committee running to the agenda. She is upfront and direct and basically gets the job done. The committee this year has certainly improved on previous years and I feel that Yvette’s leadership and organisation has been instrumental in the positive change in the netball committee this year.
