EMPOWER

Encouraging, Mentoring, and Preparing Our Women to Enter Refereeing

BECOME A PART OF NORTH HARBOUR'S EXCITING NEW REFEREEING PROGRAMME

The EMPOWER programme was developed to cater specifically to be delivered to our women and girls, working in with the challenges of their busy lives (where we wear many hats).

Through this programme North Harbour Rugby Referees Asscociation and North Harbour Rugby aims to continue “Empowering the next generation of women and girls, refereeing rugby in North Harbour”.

You’ll be part of a dedicated women and girls’ group, meeting on a regular basis through the season to learn all the basics of refereeing in a supportive environment, before taking the field as a referee once you are comfortable and ready.

Starting the week of March 18, EMPOWER will run throughout the season.

  • Week of March 18 to Week of April 8 – One training per week

  • Week of April 29 to June 17 – One training per fortnight

  • Week of July 1 to August 5 – One training per month

Trainings will be a mixture of classroom and practical sessions. There will also be opportunities throughout the season to connect socially with the rest of the group, with events linked around Farah Palmer Cup, Aupiki and Black Ferns games in our region.

REGISTER HERE to be a part of the EMPOWER Programme.
