The North Shore Tigers have competed in the Auckland AFL Competition for nearly 50 years. A
regular strong performer in this competition the club, in recent years has become a dominating
force within the AFL New Zealand environment. The club has gone through a successful period in
recent times, winning the Seniors title in 2017, runners up for both Seniors and Reserves in 2019
before our strongest periods winning in 2020 and 2022 with 2021 cancelled due to COVID.
Whilst on-field success is a great reward the off-field strength is what has been most
pleasing. We have seen significant growth in member numbers, which once again has transferred
into representative level where the North Shore Tigers continue to be the most represented Club (by
player numbers) in the AFL NZ National Premiership and National Squad. This has created a very
strong base from which we are looking to expand our reach within the community through the
introduction of a Women's side in 2022.
