I agree to abide by Christchurch Netball Centre policies and procedures.

I acknowledge that my photo may be used on the Otautahi Netball Club website, Facebook page and newsletter from time to time.  I also acknowledge that I will receive emails from Otautahi Netball Club regarding team, club and CNC information.

I agree to abide by the Otautahi Netball Club Terms and Conditions and the Players Code of Conduct outlined below.

If you are chosen for a team and have completed this Registration Form you are agreeing to the following terms.

Players Code of Conduct:

  • Play for fun and enjoyment
  • The most important goal is making the most of your abilities
  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team
  • Be a good sport and cheer all good play
  • Cooperate with your coach and team-mates
  • Respect your coach and fellow players
  • Show courtesy to officials, umpires and your opposition

Smoke Free Policy and Drug and Banned Substances Policy – Show respect for these policies while practising and playing at the Christchurch Netball Centre, at club functions and at any time when in club uniform.

For practices you are expected to:

  • Attend practices and be on time
  • Advise your coach if you won’t be at practice and why
  • Respect and listen to your coach and fully participate in all practices
  • If you have queries/problems these should be raised with your coach at practices
  • If you have queries/problems that you feel you cannot raise with your coach, contact your respective club captain

For games you are expected to:

  • Wear correct club uniform
  • Respect umpires’ decisions. If you disagree, have your captain or coach approach the official during a break or after the game
  • Control your temper. It is not acceptable to verbally abuse officials or other players or deliberately contact or provoke an opponent
  • Play to your full ability and respect your coach’s decisions and advice
  • Understand and play by rules.


Umpiring Requirements

ALL players in Senior, Senior Reserve, Second Grade and U19 grade must sit the NNZ online Centre Theory exam. If a player does not pass the online Centre theory exam then they are deemed to be unregistered and will not play. A team playing an unregistered player can have competition points deducted. 

Teams in Third grade are required to supply their own umpire for their games. Teams in U14, U13 and U12 will be supplied with a club umpire. Future Fern teams will be suppplied with a junior whistler.

Junior  Whistlers Programme

Players from Year 7 and above are able to enrol in the junior whistler programme run by CNC. They will learn to umpire starting out umpiring the Future Fern Year 5 grade and process through the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platimum levels. If your child would like to participate in the junior whistlers programme please email us and we will register them with CNC.
