OSC MINI'S JUNIOR NETBALL
As a small town it is always a hard to promote participation of sport when we can't field a team. This year Otorohanga Sport Club Netball would like to support all our smaller schools, kura and whanau to create combined teams to play and participate in the following grades:
- Future Ferns Year 0/1/2 - Aged 4-6years old
- Future Ferns Year 3/4 - Aged 7-8years old
- Division 2 Year 5/6
- Division 1 Year 7/8
What this means?
- These teams will be referred to as OSC Mini's
- Schools/kura/whanau:
- that have children that are interested in playing but do not have a team to play in, will have an opportunity to join others alike.
- will have support on SPORTY. (You won't have to learn the ins and outs)
- will be provided with learning material to be able to deliver these programs
- will share the team duties of learning, teaching and participating in drills and fundamental skills.
- will have flexible payment options
- Participants AND parents will become members of the Ototohanga Sports Club
- Participants may get Sponsors and matching outfits to support inclusion.
- Participants will have a prize giving.
What we will NEED FROM YOU to make this happen:
- Register your child as a "player" with the links below in the relevant age or year group.
- Register yourself as a "Star Helper/Coach/Manager" into the same team as this will be a school staff/ and parent run program (this can't happen without you, OSC is here to support, guide and be a helping hand, but we won't be "hand holding" all the way.)
- Pay the relevant fee. Future Ferns $40 and Div $50 per player
- Future Ferns WILL require an adult/supervisor to attend with each child. These skills and drills lessons are hands-on and it is not just one persons responsibility to upskill all children.
- Division 1 and 2 need a coach and/or manager for these teams. If one does not step forward, one will be appointed from the parents.
