Umpire Test Instructions

Anyone in Grade 4 and above must complete an online theory test on the Netball New Zealand Rules. This test needs to be completed every 4 years. A copy of the certificate is required by North Canterbury Netball Club. 

Netball NZ have created a new online system called Sports Tutor. The online theory test can be completed there.

There is a learning section, followed by the test.

​​​​​​​Follow the step by step process below:

• Members will need to LOG IN in if they have used the system before or SIGN UP if they haven’t registered previously.
• Once In – Go to SEARCH LEARNING at the top of the website. Next, click on – Netball NZ Catalogue
• On the left under TOPICS – UMPIRING (2)
• Select LEARNING TO UMPIRE
• Click ONLINE COURSE
• Click on ENROL then ENROL again
• Click on Player Umpiring Module
• Keep clicking on the right arrow until you come to the start of the test​​​​​​​
• Press start
• Once test has been completed, press save and return
• Press Download Certificate

Once passed, download the certificate and email through to: [email protected] 

Include your name, and the team (and club) you are playing for.
