Pakuranga Outrigger Canoe Club Membership

Step 1 is to fill out one of our forms and read the waiver.


Please complete the free trial registration form in the POCC Registration tab above if you have never paddled before and you are interested in trying it out.  

After your month free trial of water training and you have decided that you would like to remain with the Club then follow the procedures below:

1. Fill out the New Paddler form in the tab above.
2. Pay membership fees to the manager or coach of the team you have joined.
​3. If you are renewing your membership with POCC, fill in the renewal 2023-24 form in
​    the POCC Registration tab and pay your fees to your manager or coach.

4. Club equipment is available while you are trialing our sport, then you would be expected to purchase your own paddle and PFD.  Ask your manager for contacts for these items.

SENIOR (20 years and over as at 01 October) Full year member
Membership fee $190 (affiliation fees are inclusive)
If you require an ID card, it will be $5 extra (only required for National events).

JUNIOR (15 - 19 years as at 01 October) Full year member.
Membership fee of $107 (affiliation fees are inclusive
If you require a paddler ID card, this will be an extra $5.

INTERMEDIATE (10 years - 14 years as at 01 October) Summer membership
Membership fee of $50
If you require and ID card, this will be an extra $5.

MIDGET (6 years - 10 years of age as at 01 October) Summer membership
*Daylight savings months October - end of March/April
Membership fees are $50.00.  If an ID card is required, these are an extra $5.

ID Card to race: (you only need to pay NKOA and get an ID card if you are racing).

Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa (NKOA) ID registration cards have a fee of $5.00 per paddler.  (These fees are subject to change, especially at peak time, close to the Nationals where prices may increase to $15).  These cards are a must to be able to compete in any of the waka ama races and regattas.  (No ID card, no paddle).

1. Submit a headshot photo - like a passport photo. The photo must be JUST OF YOU (Family photos etc are not acceptable).
2. Provide a copy of proof of ID (copy of passport preferred, if not copy of drivers license or birth certificate)
3. Pay a one time fee $5.00.
