Kia ora, Welcome to Te Kura O Waikaremoana
We are a decile 2 full primary school with a roll that generally sits around 25 - 35. We cater for Years 1 through to 8. We have one Ruma Rumaki and one Mainstream class.
We are located on State Highway 38 near Tuai and minutes from wonderful Lake Waikaremoana. Wairoa is our closest shopping centre approximately 40 minutes away. Most of our children come to school by bus, either provided by the regular Ministry funded school bus system or on buses funded by the Board of Trustees.
We offer programmes of learning in all areas of the New Zealand Curriculum with a particular in-depth focus on Literacy and Numeracy. We have a well stocked, modern library, tennis court, adventure playground, swimming pool, extensive playing fields and under construction a sustainable gardening area and a sandpit. All nestled in a beautiful native bush setting, well removed from the road.
Our school hours are from 9.00am until 2.30pm with a half hour for lunch.
