Role of Waikato Dragon Boating and Waka Ama Association

The Waikato Dragon Boating and Waka Ama Association is the Regional Sports Organisation  or RSO for the Waikato/Taranaki region.  The Association is the main line of communication between teams and the New Zealand Dragon Boat Association (NZDBA).

The Association is also responsible for managing events, regattas and collective assets (dragon boats) which are for use of its affiliated teams.

It also implements the New Zealand Dragon Boat Association (NZDBA) procedures for sweep accreditation and collects paddler information for sanctioned events.
