RANGE RULES

Every range needs a set of rules for the safety of all shooters and to help enjoy your shooting.

1.  Always treat every firearm as if it was loaded.
2.  Always point firearms in a safe direction.
3.  Load a firearm only when ready to fire.
4.  Identify your target.
5.  Check your firing zone.
6.  Store firearms and ammunition safely.
7.  No alcohol and drugs when handling firearms.

At the Warkworth Pistol Club we also have four  more rules you should already be familiar with. These rules are common to all pistol ranges in NZ.

1.  Obey the Range Officers commands at all times.
2.  Keep your finger off the trigger unless you are about to shoot.
3.  Never break the 180º line of safety.
4.  You must sign the range book on every visit.
