Connor first started doing Martial Arts in England  at the age of six. He had been doing karate for almost a year when his parents decided to move to New Zealand. After the move his parents started to look for a karate club in their new home town Rangiora, it didn't take long before they found a club that was situated in Rangiora High School.  After several years Connor joined Johnny Kennedy's in Christchurch and attained his adult black belt in 2010, the youngest person ever to do so at the club.  He assisted with teaching classes for several years before moving on to open his own club in his hometown of Rangiora with the full support of his instructor Shihan Johnny Kennedy.
