HAEATA COVID-19 LEVEL 2
Contact Tracing
Sports facilities are required to maintain a register to assist the Ministry of Health’s efforts at contact tracing. We require the following information for each individual:
● Date & Time
● Full Name
● Address, Phone & Email Addresses
This information is being collected to assist in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be given to the Ministry of Health and/or the District Health Board on request in the event that it is required for contact tracing purposes. We will not use it for any other purpose, and will destroy it after 4 weeks. It will be kept with the Executive Committee. You have a right to access and correct any information we hold about you.
To speed up the waka booking system, we ask that all paddlers and whānau members provide the information to bullet points 2 & 3 asap.
Waka Bookings
Booking of equipment is essential. Bookings are to include all members and where applicable, the details of who transported them to the training.
Teams MUST allow for 30mins to clean and disinfect at the conclusion of their hoe.
Physical Distancing
This is still recommended under Level 2. The following particularly pertain to “off water” social interaction. Where we can, keep a bit of space. It’s best not to shake hands, hug, or kiss.
Team Paddling
The skipper is responsible for collecting and returning the club equipment from inside the shed that is required for the outing. This will minimize the number of people accessing the club shed. Where possible, skippers will be assigned equipment to minimize shed use. Equipment include; Bailers, Paddles, Bungs
Use of Equipment
➔ Lifejackets: members requiring the use of a club lifejacket need to notify the club contact members. They will be assigned a jacket to store and maintain it at their own premises.
➔ Paddles: members requiring the use of a club paddle will be given one by the skipper of the crew.
Cleaning Policy & Hygiene Practices
Teams & Individuals need to carry a bucket, rags, disinfectant and hand sanitizer. Every item that has been touched MUST be disinfected at the end of each training. These include:
★ Padlock & Gate
★ Shed door (inside & outside)
★ Trolley
★ Waka, bungs, paddles & lifejackets
Club Compound
The zone laid with the Green Court Mats is NOT to be accessed by Haeata Ocean Sports members during Level 2. This is to curtail further contact.
Personal Waka
Members who store their waka in the shed must also use the Waka Booking System so that all members can identify who is going to be at the compound and when.
