We pride ourselves in being a small humble rugby club that encourages family participation while building confident and positive young community members through rugby.

We uphold the principles of community by creating a positive playing atmosphere on and off the field while ensuring children are having fun while meeting new friends.

Our teams are made up of children from all over Ngāruawāhia and the surrounding towns such as Horotiu and Glen Massey.

We run the following grades for boys and girls:

Rippa rugby - aged generally between 3 and 6(as of the 1st of January) playing in the Waikato Central Junior Rugby (WCJR) competition in either 6th or 7th grade. Rippa is an introductory game where players rip tags instead of tackling - so it's non-contact.   All games are played on 1/2 a field using a 2.5 sized ball. Games generally start at 8:30 am on Saturday mornings and last 30 minutes.

Quick Rip - a new addition for 2020 in the Waikato. This is a great option for players that would like to stay in the non-contact style of rugby and are aged between 7 and 8 years on the 1st of January this year.

Tackle rugby - generally aged 7-12 years (no high school grades).  These grades are set by the age and weight requirements of the WCJR.

We are always looking for new players and volunteers to coach, manage and support our young ones on and off the field.

Fees: The season fees for the children are:

$20 per child.

Player socks and shorts will be sold pre-season to the players and these costs are yet to be confirmed.

Player shirts will be issued for each team and held by the team manager for the season and handed out at each game.
