MY SUCCESS IS NOT MINE ALONE, BUT IT IS THE STRENGTH OF MANY”

Otautahi Rugby Football Club was established in 1969 buy founding member Noel Huata. The club was a gathering place for many whanau maori from all over Christchurch. Some had moved to Christchurch during the Maori Trades Trainings Scheme from all over Aotearoa. Our whare locaged on Tuam street was built by some of our club members after they had qualified from thier trades.

In the following years the club extended it's sports to Netball, Softball, Hockey, Baketball, Volleyball, Touch, Tag, Golden Oldies and Hunting and Fishing.

The Otautahi Sports Association Inc. (OSA) was established in 1988 and registered as an incorporated society. OSA’s aim is to provide a safe and secure environment promoting sports health and recreation to the community of Otautahi.
