Juniors 

Shirley Rugby League has a proud history in Shirley as a family-oriented club. We're more than just a league club, we're a whānau. We're kicking off 2026 with our annual junior whānau camp in mid January.

In 2025 we plan to offer league throughout 5-12s (as well as 13s boys and 15s girls).

Season Information:

The Junior season is scheduled to begin in early may and will run through until the until early August. The games are usually scheduled between 9am and 11:30 am. The majority of games are played at the Canterbury Park and A&P Show Grounds. 

Training: 

We train at our home grounds - MacFarlane Park, and hope to train on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 with all our Junior team. Check our Junior Facebook page to confirm our 2026 training times. 

Subs: 

Junior Subs for 2026  are: 

$50 for the first child 
$30 for the second child 
​​​​​​​$20 for the third and any subsequent children
