NZ WHITE SOX SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT.


Softball NZ’s President, Lynda O’Cain is pleased to announce the names of the following athletes who have been selected for this year’s White Sox training squad. This announcement notes a further selection to be ratified after the NZ Open Club Championship. "We congratulate these athletes on their WSX squad selection. This team is the pinnacle for our NZ women’s high performance pathway and as such we are proud of each of you.”

Head Coach, Donny Hale is pleased to confirm these athletes. “This year the team is heading to the Canada Cup, in Surrey, British Columbia and with plans for domestic camps and a pre-tour build up makes this announcement an important part of our campaign. We will name a potential smaller number of athletes after the NZ Open Club Championship who will join the squad. We are excited to bring this wider talent pool of elite female athletes together to train before naming the final roster to compete at the Canada Cup." Donny Hale, Head Coach.

Following on from NZ Open Club Nationals, the following players were added for this year’s White Sox training squad. “With the NZ domestic season now completed, the WSX coaching staff have selected the remainder of their training squad for 2024. Congratulations to the following athletes”;

Head Coach, Donny Hale is pleased to confirm these additional athletes who will join those announced 29 Feb 24. “We are excited to bring this wider talent pool of elite female athletes together to train before naming the final roster to compete at the Canada Cup. There is also another small group of athletes who will be contacted and invited to attend WSX regional trainings in the off-season, with the goal of continuing to build depth within the program”.
