Michelle Webb - Figures & Freestyle

Shelley's skating career started at 6yrs old, going on to compete in the Oceania team (for 9 consecutive years), the Asian Games, the North American Championships and 3 World Championships, holding multiple National titles and many Oceania placings.

Shelley returned home in 2016 to coach and mentor full time. Now living her dream job as a Roller-Skating coach for TRSC, she has coached many successful skaters up to, and including World championships with many more in the making.

Her favourite moments are seeing skaters achieve what they never thought would be possible, supported by lifting their confidence and self-esteem.

Jenny Bailey - Precision, Freestyle, Figures & Dance

At the young age of 46 I reached out to a local skating group to try something new, meet people and make new friends.

8 years on, I now have coaching papers in Freeskating, Figures, Dance and Precision and still love what I do. I continue to coach and compete in many disciplines, and have a great thirst for learning and growing in the Artistic Roller Skating World.

I am also the Treasurer (volunteer) on the New Zealand Artistic Roller Skating Committee and enjoy keeping up to date with World Skate Rules.

I have made many friends who are now my skating family, and I am so blessed and grateful to have them all in my life.

Emma Bailey -Figures & Freestyle

Hi, I’m Emma.

My own competitive skating journey started in 2017 with Shelley, doing figures and freeskating, and I began coaching just two years later. Since then, coaching has become one of my biggest passions.

Over the years, I’ve competed at Nationals in freeskating, figures, dance, and precision, and in 2024 I represented New Zealand in Junior Solo Dance at Oceanias. I also compete alongside my mum (Jenny), which makes skating even more special to me.

Outside of skating, I work as a children’s sports coach and am also in the final stages of completing my Bachelor in Sport and Human Performance, which has deepened my understanding of athlete development and performance.

I look forward to seeing you around the rink and getting to know you!

Rachel Whitten - CAC & Learn to Skate

Kia ora, I’m Rachel! Skating has been a big part of my life, and I love sharing it with others. I’m passionate about inclusion and creating a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves. For me, skating is all about fun, fitness, and friendship. I've loved lots of types of skating including Roller Derby and Precision (team skating) at a competitive National level.

I'm so pleased to be part of this community and look forward to helping more people discover the joy of skating.

Emma Delo - CAC & Learn to Skate

Hey! My name is Emma and I'm 18 years old. I work as an early childhood teacher and I am also now a free-skating coach. I have been roller skating now for almost 9 years now and it has always been my dream to become a coach.

Over my years in skating I have competed in numerous competitions in free-skating (preliminary-junior), dance, figures and I was a part of an amazing precision team (Purple Reign). At the 2023 Nationals I competed and won the title of top youth free-skater which is my top achievement as a skater.

As a coach my goal is to build strong and positive relationships with skaters and be someone they can look up to and come to on and off the rink. My dream is to bring up young competitive skaters and help them reach their goals, and to make sure that each skater's journey is enjoyable and something they can be proud of.

Jamie Sutton - Speed

Jamie has been passionate about speed skating since the age of 10. He has proudly represented New Zealand at multiple Oceania and World Inline Speed Skating Championships, before transitioning at 17 to short track ice speed skating. During this time, he trained and competed internationally, including World Cups and World Championships, while living and training with the Australian Olympic team.

Alongside his own skating career, Jamie began coaching while studying Physiotherapy, leading the junior New Zealand short track team. Today, he works as a sports physiotherapist with experience across Olympic and professional team sports.

Jamie brings both high-level athletic and medical expertise to the rink, with a strong focus on helping young athletes develop, achieve their potential, and enjoy skating for life.
