Sports Notices

Students can regularly check for updates regarding sports through the following channels:

  • Daily Notices
  • Sports Noticeboard
  • School newsletter
  • School emails
  • Trip Planner permission letters
  • Social media – Facebook and Instagram

Social Media

Regular Facebook and Instagram posts keep students, parents and the wider community updated on sport at ACG Strathallan. Our senior students help manage our sports media and take great pride in highlighting their peers successes via these popular mediums.  Please also keep us informed of your child's achievements in sport outside of the college so we can highlight their success to the rest of the school community.

Uniform

Students representing ACG Strathallan are provided with a team kit relevant to their sporting code at the start of the season.  This kit is to be worn at all times when representing the school and must be returned in good, clean condition at the end of the season.  Any lost, damaged or non-returned uniform will result in a fee charged to your child’s account.

Transport

ACG Strathallan uses mini-vans to transport teams to sporting venues around the region.  For some sporting codes, where the numbers do not warrant a team bus, then transport to and from venues is your own responsibility. For tournaments and events taking place during the school day and if bus/van hire is not viable then parent help is greatly appreciated.

Sports Fees

Fees are communicated via Trip Planner permission letters that are issued to parents of students partaking in a sporting activity or have been selected for a team.  The School accountant will issue fee payers invoices for prompt payment. Fees/Invoices can be viewed in the Finance Hub on the Parent Portal.

For sporting events, full payment is required prior to event, and for teams payment is required within the first two weeks of receiving an invoice. If a student withdraws from a team after being named, they will still be required to pay the fee.

The fees charged are an accumulation of some, or all, of the following:

  • Coaching fees
  • Umpiring costs
  • Competition entry fees
  • Upkeep of facilities
  • Equipment and apparatus costs
  • Uniform loan cost

ACG STRATHALLAN SPORTS CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

This code is not intended to be a detailed set of rules, but rather outlines the key principles of acceptable behaviour in secondary school sport at ACG Strathallan. Breaches of the code may result in disciplinary action.  If you have any concerns, please contact the Sports Office.

PLAYER CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

  1. Represent the school with pride and uphold our Core Values and Behaviour Code at all times.
  2. Show respect to everyone involved — teammates, coaches, managers, opponents, officials, and spectators. Play fair and respect the game.
  3. Be committed to your team. Attend all trainings, meetings, and games, and let your coach or manager know in advance if you can’t make it or will be late.
  4. Wear the correct uniform and bring the right gear every time.
  5. Take care of your uniform and any equipment issued to you. Don’t alter or damage it, and return it clean and on time at the end of the season. Lost or damaged items will need to be paid for.
  6. Think before you post. Do not put anything on social media (or say anything publicly) that could reflect badly on your team, your school, or your sport.
  7. Respect the decisions of your coach and manager.  Talk to the Sports Office if you have any concerns.
