Tennis

Purpose: This is designed for students who would like “to give it a go”.  

Each week students would play against someone of their similar ability. The goal of the ACG Sunderland School Tennis is for students to progress to the Auckland Tennis Competition which is played against other schools. 

Game Days: Weekly Monday After School Competition - Term 1 AND Term 4

Start Date: TBC

Venues: Te Pai Tennis Courts

Uniform: Physical Education uniform or House shirt.

Equipment: Students must provide their own tennis racquet

Additional Notes: *there will need to be a minimum of 6 players for this sport to go ahead.

Students of all experience levels are welcome to sign up to play Tennis in the Auckland Secondary Schools Saturday Morning competition.

Teams are made up of 6 players and each game consists of 6 singles and 3 doubles matches meaning each individual plays a singles and doubles game.

Game Days: Weekly Saturday Competition 

Start Date: 10 February

Training: TBC after school 

Venues: Windmill Road tennis courts or various schools around Auckland Region. 

Uniform: Generic Sport Top issued by ACG Sunderland and Shorts.

Equipment: Students must provide their own tennis racquet

Additional Notes: *there will need to be a minimum of 6 players for this sport to go ahead. 

Age Groups:  There are separate Boys and Girls grades for all age groups.  

Junior:  U15 on the 1st January 

Senior:   U19 on the 1st January
