Introduction

The Auckland Grammar School Fencing Team is a dedicated group of sportsmen that has gained success at the Auckland Regional Secondary School Championships and the Fencing National Championships. Many of its team members have represented New Zealand at an Australasian level.

Tournaments during weekends, Terms 1, 2 and 3

Practice times

Training is on Mondays and Thursdays straight after school until 5pm in the Old Gym.
- Mondays are sword training days led by the coaches for foil and sabre
- Thursdays are footwork days led by the captains. Extra sword training is often included.
- Attendance on Mondays and Thursdays is compulsory and will be recorded.

Fees

$550 - Full Year or $200 - Per Term

Equipment

Fencing glove ($50). Jacket and weapons will be provided by the coach.

Track pants are recommended on Mondays
Indoor sports shoes (Fencing or badminton/tennis shoes recommended)

Master in Charge

Mr Dyer-Causton. Students are able to speak to him in the English department or E10 during the School day or contact him via email.
