INFORMATION
AIMS Games is a major Year 7&8 sporting tournament offering nearly 30 sports, giving students the chance to compete at a higher level against teams from around New Zealand and beyond! The tournament encourages students to stay active, celebrate fair play, and enjoy success.
It’s a highlighted event for many students each year at Marsden! Each year Marsden sends two teams - Hockey and Netball along with many individual athelete to compete in Tauranga. Teams invited to compete will be communicated in 2026 - usually dependent on trials and selection.
Students who compete at a high level in an individual sport such as badminton, cross country, golf, gymnastics, rock climbing, squash, swimming or tennis etc. are invited to register their interest (a full list of AIMs sports is available to view on their website). When registering, please provide detailed information about your child’s ability, as only athletes capable of competing at a high level will be considered.
Individual competitors must arrange their own transport and accommodation in Tauranga and be supported by a parent or guardian. If this is difficult, please contact the Sports Department to discuss options!
