CLUB WINTER COMPETITION
​​​​​​Our Club winter competition is played at Auckland Netball in St Johns from March - August. There are pre-season opportunities for teams as well.

  • Premier 1 & 2 grades - Thursdays evenings 6.45pm & 8.15pm indoors 
  • Senior & U16/18 grades - Saturday afternoons 1.30pm, 2.20pm & 3.10pm outdoors except Senior A played indoors.

To enter the competition or league, you don’t have to be part of an already-established club to play.

All new teams are welcome to join – so get a group of friends or colleagues together and enter a team.

Auckland Netball competitions are venue-based competitions. All competition games are to be held at Auckland Netball (St Johns and Windmill Park venues), and requests for specific game times or deferred games will not be accepted. However, Auckland Netball reserve the right to alter game schedules where deemed necessary.

Competition Format​​​​​​​

Premier 1 & 2 grades Thursdays indoors
6.45pm & 8.15pm   4x15-minute quarters

Senior A grade Saturdays indoors
 1.30pm   4x15-minute quarters

All other Senior grades Saturdays outdoors 
1.30pm, 2.20pm, 3.10pm    4x10-minute quarters

U16/18 grade Saturdays outdoors
1.30pm   4x10-minute quarters

​​​​​​​Umpiring Details

Umpires from Auckland Netball will be provided for Premier 1 & 2 and Senior A games.

All teams entered in other Senior grades and U16/18 grade will need to provide their own umpire.

A team not supplying an umpire for their game will play short to enable one member of the team to umpire.

Club Pre-season League

4 week league on Tuesday evenings at St John's. 

This is an opportunity for your newly formed senior teams to get some quality game time together before grading games begin.

Dates: for 2025 tbc

Games: 6.30pm & 8.00pm

Open to both Auckland Netball affiliated and non-affiliated clubs.

Registrations for the 2024 Pre-Season League  have now closed.

Men's & Mixed League

6-week league played Saturday's alongside our Club Competition at St. Johns

Dates: 11 May to 21 June (no play 1 June,)

Fee: $300 per team

Games: 4 x 10-minute quarters 

Men - indoors at 3.15pm

Mixed - outdoors at 1.30pm or 2.20pm

All teams must provide their bibs, ball & umpire.

Mixed: no more than 3 men on the court at one time. One boy could play Defence (GK or GD), another boy could play Mid-court (WD, C or WA) and another boy could play Attack (GA or GS)
