Basic Rules & Conduct
These basic rules are here so we can run our classes efficiently. We ask that everyone shows respect to each other, to create a safe and encouraging environment
Health and Safety
Our classes are run by experienced volunteer coaches who will try and attend to all major accidents. We have a first aid kit and ice packs in our cupboards. We collect information for our accident register and so we can follow up on injuries.
If you find any skating hazards, i.e. water or objects on the floor, please report this immediately to a coach or the skating desk.
People on the floor without skates are a major hazard. Parents can stay with their children when they are in the carpeted group, but otherwise please help us keep the floor for those with skates only.

6.15pm – Group Coaching

Learn to Skate Progression
Skaters start in Badge 1 and advance through the 10 badges as they progress and achieve all the requirements for each badge.
Little Steppers get coaching on the carpet. This is available for very young or nervous skaters before they join badge 1.
The 10 Badge levels are split into 3 classes:
Learn to Skate Class : 5.30pm – 6.15pm. Covering basic skating skills
Intermediate Class : 6.00pm – 6.45pm. Covering basic artistic skills
Advanced Class : 6.30pm – 7.20pm. Covering more complex artistic skills
It takes approximately 3-4 months to progress into the Intermediate Class for skaters regularly attending one day a week. However, very young skaters and those not skating consistently may take longer to progress.
More information on the Intermediate & Advanced Classes will be provided as your child progresses through the levels.
