+2026 Blind Sport NZ Emerging Athlete Weekend.
Blind Sport NZ’s Emerging Athlete Weekend is coming to Christchurch (21–23 August). For anyone 13+ with a vision impairment, with any sporting background, this is a chance to experience sport testing, access classification, and take part in information sessions. It’s also about building confidence, connecting with others, and creating a starting point for emerging athletes.Submitting an EOI helps us put together this year’s group, and we’d love to hear from as many people as possible. It also helps inform how we shape opportunities like this in the future and build connections across Aotearoa.
A free Blind Sport NZ individual membership is required — it’s simply a way for us to keep a register of people interested in blind sport, including athletes and supporters.
