How long can this last ... another sensational autumn day lay in wait for the 36 teams as they battled for supremacy and bragging rights at our weekly club Triples comp. A chilly single digit temperature greeted the players, most with an extra layer or three to keep the body at a comfortable level, although some of the hardier souls showing some skin, attired in their summer shorts. Once the sun got a little higher the morning warmed nicely, and carried on for most of the day, superb conditions for sure.

It was again a real pleasure to welcome back to our club BEN GIBSON from HARCOURTS COOPER & CO Real Estate, our sponsor for the day. Ben, in partnership with Harcourts Cooper & Co also sponsored the recenly completed and most successful NZ Arm Bowlers tournament, a first for bowls in New Zealand that gathered together some 132 players from Australia & NZ over four days at Bowls Orewa. Thank you Ben for your enthusiastic and most welcome support of our club.

This week the alternating 4 game/12 end/2 bowl format again proved that regardless of two or three bowls the competion is certainly tough and even, with x3 four winners, and x10 three winners vying for the five main prizes.
