About the Knights

The Canterbury Knights are a Men's Basketball team based in New Zealand that operate just below the NBL.  The team competes in tournaments and matches around the country and overseas.  The Knights won the Men's Elite grade of the 2017 HoopNation Tournament in Tauranga.

In 2019 Canterbury has a comprehensive schedule including a preseason Tour of Melbourne (Feb 7-12) where they will play 6 Big V clubs for the first time.  The Knights then play the Otago Nuggets and Southland Sharks in Dunedin (Mar 8-9).  Other games are being organised and will be confirmed on the schedule page.

The Canterbury Knights existed from 1998-2003, before being brought back in 2016.

The team is proudly supported by Frozen Direct, The Fitz, Canterbury Basketball Association, Air Rescue Services and the Canterbury Rams.
