Important Dates to note Semester 2 2026: *new dates will be added as appropriate*

  1. Movie - International Film festival (Full Programme here:  https://www.nziff.co.nz/2026/otepoti-dunedin/films/title/ ). We are looking at going to the following music related film as a group if you are interested /intending to attend let Annabelle or either group chat know. $19 (student) or $22 (non student) single ticket price (combo passes are available if intending to attend 5 or more other films). Some other booking ticket/Credit Card fees may apply (up to $3 if purchased online). Our plan will be to meet at 11.30am purchase tickets on the day together (saves some fees). Tickets are general admission (not assigned seating so feel free to purchase your own separately). Then we will head to a Cafe nearby for a hot/cold drink, brunch/lunch and then return to the Regent to enjoy the movie.   2. Sunday 23rd August 5.30pm - 7.30pm Room 1 standard Rehearsal then 7.30pm - 9.30pm Evison lounge next door for a pot luck dinner.   3. Semester break Thursday September 3rd - yes we will definitely have a rehearsal as it will be just one week before the Jonathan Lemalu concert, Note: we have an alternative venue OUCE - Drama Centre Seminar Room 1.02 same time 5.30pm - 7.30pm, (this is due to OUSA being closed at 5pm for semester break).
  4. Friday 11th September 2026 - Evening in Dunedin timing tbc. An opportunity to sing an approximate 10-15 minute slot with one of our former singers an accomplished Opera Singer and Music Professor that has performed at famous venues including: The Metropolitan Opera (New York); Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London): and. BBC Proms (Royal Albert Hall), he has also won a grammy award. It will be quite an event.
