Vahid Fanipour is a former national volleyball player and an FIVB‑certified international volleyball coach with extensive experience across youth development and high‑performance programs. Most recently, he contributed to Volleyball New Zealand’s National Volleyball League (NVL) as Assistant Coach for the Midlands Te Wairoa team, earning a bronze medal in the competition.
Vahid has also played a key role in New Zealand’s Inter‑Provincial Championship (IPC) pathway. At the 2023 IPC in Napier, he served as Head Coach of the Canterbury U17 Boys team, guiding the squad to a bronze medal. In the 2022 IPC in Wellington, he was the Assistant Coach and Manager for the same age group, helping Canterbury secure its first-ever U17 Boys gold medal.
His coaching philosophy blends international technical expertise with a strong commitment to athlete development—an approach reflected in his ongoing involvement with youth and community volleyball through Caspian Volleyball Club.
