CEMPC General Information

RALLIES
Are held on a regular basis (approx fortnightly) Occasionally they may be held away from the grounds eg farm rides, visits etc. Rally time is 10.30am for approx 1.5hrs.  We appreciate it if you can be there a bit earlier to help get the gear out. To enable maximum benefit from the rallies, riders are asked to be lined up, mounted by 10.15am

GEAR CHECKS  All rallies start with a gear check, riders present themselves to the best of THEIR ability.  Points are given for rider, horse and gear for cleanliness and condition. The age of the gear is not important as long as it is safe. Marks are awarded on a scale of 1-10. Points accumulate for trophies at the end of the season.

ACTIVITIES We commence each rally by lining up for gear check and notices. We then move off to our designated activity with our Instructor.

TROPHIES Are awarded at the end of the season, for various events throughout the season. Presentations are also made for marking, helpfulness etc.

PROBLEMS/QUERIES Please do not let these build up. See a committee member or Head Instructor as soon as possible so that it can be rectified. If we do not know, we cannot help.

OFFICIAL UNIFORM  Beige or light coloured jodhpurs, white long sleeved shirt, black woolen vest, black tie and CEMPC badge. RALLY UNIFORM Beige or light coloured jodhpurs, black long sleeved casual rally shirt

CERTIFICATES Any rider who is keen to sit a certificate, tell your instructor so that we can work together towards your goal. All riders are encouraged to work towards a certificate but these are not compulsory. Certificate logs are held by the Head Instructor and marked off as necessary certificate components are taught., leading to a group exam of the appropriate certificate level & if successful a certificate & tag for their badge are awarded to rider.

COURTESY Please let the Head Instructor know of your intention to attend or not attend each rally. The sooner the better, as it makes it much easier to plan rallies and instructor requirements when they know how many riders to cater for.

AREA CEMPC comes under the umbrella of the Waikato Area Pony Club (WAPC) which in turn is under the New Zealand Pony Club Association (NZPCA). Representatives attend WAPC meetings approximately every six weeks. Anybody may attend these meetings. CEMPC holds meetings monthly and all families are welcome to attend.

SUBSCRIPTIONS These are due by mid October each season. Please contact us by phone or email for details of our subscription fees.  As we are a small club it needs to be noted that we rely on parental help to function successfully. Therefore we do ask that you stay on the grounds whilst your child rides and provide assistance where possible.

MANUALS AND BADGES These can be ordered through the Secretary

DONATIONS Time, experience and knowledge are all greatly appreciated. See an appropriate Committee Member if you have something to offer.
