Whanganui Valuable Volunteer - Pagan Norris

Pagan Norris is a Junior Development Team Coach for Whanganui Athletic

Pagan wears plenty of hats – co head coach of the Whanganui Athletic Cubs (a 9th/10th grade team), First Kicks and Tiny Tots coach, holiday programme helper, and an all-round good person who's always willing to lend a hand. Whether it’s stepping in for another coach, unlocking facilities, pumping up balls, setting up and packing down on a chilly Saturday morning, or even cleaning out the gear container – Pagan just gets stuck in without hesitation.

He's been coaching the Cubs for a couple of years now, guiding them through trainings twice a week, tournaments, and interclub fixtures – and the effort shows. On top of all that, he’s also committed to growing as a coach, currently working his way through a year-long course with Te Mahi Ako.

He’s the kind of volunteer every club dreams of – reliable, passionate, and always putting the kids and the game first. Whether it's helping with Girls and Women’s Week events or just being around the football whānau, Pagan’s love for the game is clear to see.

Thank you for all you do for the game Pagan!
