This week we had the first leg of the East/West Premiership Playoff between GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic and HNW Big Barrel Premiers. The first leg of the East/West Premiership playoff concluded with GJ Gardner Homes Whanganui Athletic recording a 3–0 victory over HNW Big Barrel Premiers. The match, played away from home for Athletic, saw the visiting side take a decisive lead early in the first half, putting HNW on the back foot from the outset. Jordan Joblin-Hall opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed by Cristian Petersen in the 14th minute. Victor Nwankwo added a third in the 29th minute, giving Athletic a strong advantage heading into the second half. Following the early goals, the pace of the game settled, with both teams working to maintain structure and respond to the scoreboard. Men’s Federation Cup

In the game of the round, we had NP Physiotherapy FC Western taking on YOUM PN Marist Men’s Reserves. NP Physiotherapy FC Western advanced to the Federation Cup final with a 3–0 win over YOUM PN Marist Men’s Reserves in the semi-final. The scoring came entirely in the first half, giving FC Western a commanding position heading into the break. Alman Kwan opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, followed by Benjamin Furze in the 33rd minute. Matthew Sanger completed the first-half scoring in the 44th minute to put the home side firmly in control. In the second half, FC Western maintained their lead without conceding, securing a clean sheet and confirming their place in the final. YOUM PN Marist Men’s Reserves were unable to mount a response, leaving FC Western to progress with a decisive victory. The win sets FC Western up for the Federation Cup final against Thirsty Whale NCR Reserves, where they will compete for the title after a strong performance in the semi-final.

YORB Western Premiership

In the only game of the round, we had Peggy Gordon’s NP Rangers AFC hosting Team Campbell- Harcourts Feilding Utd AFC Men's 1sts. Peggy Gordon’s NP Rangers AFC finished their Western Premiership season with a 5–1 win over Team Campbell – Harcourts Feilding Utd AFC Men’s 1st. NP Rangers took the lead early through Niall Leggett in the 9th minute and added a second before halftime, with Leggett scoring again in the 40th minute. Domenico Squatriti contributed goals in the 19th and 70th minutes, and Gwylym Hamilton added a strike in the 29th minute. Charlie Hickmott scored a consolation goal for Feilding Utd in the 77th minute. The victory allows NP Rangers to conclude their season on a high note, finishing with momentum and strong attacking form. For Team Campbell – Harcourts Feilding Utd, the match marked the end of their campaign, closing the season with a challenging fixture but valuable experience to carry into the next year.

In this week's game of the round, we had Isles Construction PN Marist Inter taking on Linton FC 1sts. Isles Construction PN Marist Inter emerged victorious in a thrilling 5–4 contest against Linton FC 1sts. Marist Inter took control early, with Charles Parker scoring in the 3rd minute and Ali Raza Nouroz Ali adding goals in the 7th, 45'+1, and 52nd minutes. Blake Haswell extended the lead in the 64th minute, giving the visitors a commanding advantage. Linton FC fought back strongly, with Kyle Strydom scoring in the 21st minute, Alex Walczak in the 79th, and Jaxon ‘Boom’ Stacey netting twice in the 67th and 89th minutes. Their late surge made for a dramatic finish, but Marist Inter held on to claim the hard-fought 5–4 win. The match delivered end-to-end action and plenty of excitement, with both teams showing determination and attacking flair throughout.

SUBWAY Massey University FC Good Guys delivered a dominant performance, defeating Takaro United 8–0 to secure the league title. The scoring started early with Liam Wells opening the accounts in the 6th minute, followed by Michael Wishnowsky in the 30th minute. Wells struck again in the 33rd minute, giving the Good Guys a commanding lead by halftime. In the second half, Sam Christophers scored twice (47', 78'), while Ryan Noble (55'), Stefan Heasman (64'), and Lachie Preston (87') completed the tally, rounding out an emphatic victory. The result confirmed SUBWAY Massey University FC Good Guys as league champions, highlighting their attacking strength and consistency throughout the season. Takaro United were unable to respond, leaving the Good Guys to celebrate a well-earned title.

In this week's game of the round, we had Groombridge Electrical Feilding Utd C Team hosting SUBWAY Massey University FC Rigs. Groombridge Electrical Feilding Utd C Team and SUBWAY Massey University FC Rigs played out an entertaining 2–2 draw. Feilding Utd opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Peter Kapea, but SUBWAY Massey University responded in the 55th minute with Tim Justice finding the net to level the match. Feilding Utd regained the lead in the 76th minute via Kayden Bremner, only for Reuben Lovell to equalise for SUBWAY Massey University in the 83rd minute. Congradualtions to Levin AFC Underdogs (Reserves) for winning the Manawatu Women’s Division 2 title for 2025

In this week's game of the round, we had Daikin Takaro AFC Harlequins taking on Freedom Plus PN Marist Evergreenz. Freedom Plus PN Marist Evergreenz edged out Daikin Takaro AFC Harlequins in a closely contested 3–2 match. The visitors started strongly, with Kelly Spencer scoring in the 1st minute and Christine Cole adding a second in the 14th minute. Takaro AFC Harlequins responded with an early goal from Kylie Tarrant-Moore in the 2nd minute to keep the contest level in the opening exchanges.
