Positive Vibes Only returns for 2026

Central Football is pleased to confirm that Positive Vibes Only (PVO) will return for the 2026 season, continuing its focus on creating a more supportive, respectful and enjoyable environment across our game.

PVO remains a key part of our commitment to improving the experience for everyone involved in football, from players and coaches through to referees, volunteers and supporters. The initiative is built on a simple principle: the way we behave on the sidelines and around the game has a direct impact on participation, retention and enjoyment.

For 2026, the programme will take a step forward with the introduction of a Champion Club in each region. These clubs will lead the way in embedding Positive Vibes Only within their environments and will be supported with PVO collateral and resources to help drive the message locally.

Alongside this, each region will host a minimum of two PVO activations throughout the season. These activations are designed to bring the initiative to life on game day, with players, coaches, supporters and officials encouraged to add a pop of pink to their attire as a visible show of support for positive sideline behaviour.

The first round of regional activations are scheduled as follows:
Gisborne Tairāwhiti, Sunday 3 May, Youth League Muster Day
Hawke’s Bay, Saturday 9 May, Park Island and Frimley Park
Manawatū, Saturday 9 May, Monrad Park
Whanganui, Saturday 16 May, Wembley Park
Taranaki, Saturday 9 May, Woodleigh Hub

These days will act as key activations early in the season to reinforce expectations and set the tone for the year ahead.

Ultimately, Positive Vibes Only is about protecting what makes football great, ensuring it remains a game people want to be part of, both on and off the field.

Further information, including Champion Club details and additional activation dates, will be shared in the coming weeks.
